commit message ignore on DOS platform.

Dear all,

I'm trying to use svn v.1.2.1 for my dos based
project.

I hosted the repository on a RedHat 9 using the
package provided by the hornable David Summers. Then
I download the win32 version via
http://subversion.tigris.org/files/documents/15/24487/svn-1.2.1-setup-2.exe
for my dos box.

I can successfully check out the source from Linux to
dos using the http:// protocol.

When I try to commit, svn fire out notepad (which I
set in autoexec.bat SET SVN_EDITOR=notepad) and let me
type in the comment. The problem is, while I "svn
update" my working copy after the commit and check
with "svn log", there is no commit message, which
measn svn ignore my message during commit.

I can successfully commit with message using the -m
switch though, and commit under Linux using vi to type
in message just working fine.

Could anyone be so kind as to help me on this? Thanks
in advanced.

Regards,
Lawrence
