SVN issue/improvement

Hi all.

This is not a "bug", but it is a small interface issue I have that I
think could be improved.

When committing, if no commit message is specified on the command-line,
svn launches an external editor for me to write my message. That's
great. The problem is, after closing the editor, it then starts to
commit and if the repository is at a higher revision than my svn
checkout directory, then we get the familiar "Transmitting file data
.... svn: Commit failed (details follow): svn: Out of date: '/trunk' in
transaction ...." message.

This is not a problem in itself. I just type "svn up", copy the contents
of the new svn-commit.tmp file, commit again, paste the commit message
and delete the tmp file.

It would be an improvement to the user experience if svn, before
launching the external editor, checked to see if my local checkout needs
updating. That way I wouldn't have to worry about
copying/pasting/deleting temp files etc.

Kind regards
David Barri
