Heh, that's amusing as VSS is at version 6.0d. And "v3" is stretching
it, usually version 2's are sufficient.
As for Team Foundation, there's a wide misunderstanding as to the
product's purpose. It is meant more for collaborative work than version
control. In other words, it provides a sense of archive/history of
files saved on the server with some check-in/check-out features, but it
is primarily a server for file sharing amongst workgroups. That's why
VSS and TF are both distributed in VS.NET 2005 Beta2, and will both be
included in the product's final release.
Alas, Subversion (IMHO), still has its place in a Microsoft-driven
world.
