"svn: Can't get password"

Hi there,

I have installed subversion 1.2.1 on a windows server and created a
repository. The repository can be accessed from other windows machines
using the TortoiseSVN client and checkin/checkout and commit works fine.
To throw a spanner in the works I also need to be able to access the
repository from macs running OSX 10.3 or higher.

Accessing the repository from a mac for a checkout and update works
fine, passwords are requested and accepted, but any commit fails with
the error:

"svn: Can't get password"

This happens on both scplugin and svnX so I'm assuming it's at the svn
client level. I have searched a lot of sources for info but I have not
been able to find anything relevant so far.
