I think that a prominent note in the version control metadata (ie: the
author, log and date revprops, in svn's case) is usually considered to
be acceptable for these licenses. The licenses require the information
to be there, but don't prescribe the technology to be used. Where they
do, that's usually considered a bug in the license.
