I believe "integrating well with existing ... bug trackers"
is exactly what Matthew J. meant by "hook ... into a bug tracking
tool".

(I mention this because it looks like Karl has taken "hook"
to mean "extend" rather than "integrate". If I've misunderstood
either Karl or Matthew, I suggest that you both ignore me :-).)
