Hmm. Leaving aside for a moment stickiness with implementation --
which would at least involve linking some "client" functions into
mod_dav_svn -- would it make sense for Subversion to treat clients
other than the ra_dav library differently, and perform the "usual"
client pre/postprocessing of files?
