I described a similar symptom at
http://svn.haxx.se/users/archive-2005-05/1556.shtml , but despite a "me
too" there was no reply on the list.

How do you recover from that situation? Can you use the repository "as
usual" while the hook script is hanging?

I have a feeling that we might share the same problem source. ;-)
