File system for repository accessed using Samba?

Hi,

Several questions in one here:

I'm setting up a repository on my linux server which will be accessible
remotely (using apache2) but will also potentially be accessible on my
LAN as a samba share.

Q1: If I do create a Samba share, do I need to create the repository
using a particular file system?

Q2: Would I be better sticking to the http interface and not exposing
the repository as a Samba share?

And finally: (Perhaps more for the TortoiseSVN list but as I'm here...)

Q3: Does TortoiseSVN work with both http and "local filesystem"
repositories?

R.
