Granted, Fink can consume a good amount of space, but I find myself
using most of what's in there.

Did you do a binary download or build the packages yourself? If you
build them yourself, you may want to remove all the files in /sw/src and
there's also some tools to remove packages you no longer need. Look at
debfoster, it's a good tool to do that.

If you run debfoster, you can prune anything but the packages you want.
Also, make sure not to prune apt and debfoster.

Regards,
Blair
