400 Bad Request with Suversion on Suse 8.2 <-> 9.1

Hi Folks,

I have a strange probleme here.
I run a Suse 9.1 Server with Apache and SVN from the distro (SVN Build
is 1.0.0 from Sept 2004)

I have a Suse 8.2 client running the latetest svn client from rpmseek
(SVN 1.3.1, from March 2005) and a Suse 9.3 with shipped svn client (is
also 1.3.1)

The 9.3 box is doing fine, the 8.2 box fails on running updates on a
local working copy :(
svn version reports both builds as the same version

Suse 8.2 Box
$ svn --version
svn, Version 1.1.3 (r12730) übersetzt Mar 4 2005, 11:34:15

Suse 9.3 Box
$ svn --version
svn, Version 1.1.3 (r12730) übersetzt Mar 22 2005, 23:42:08

Server (Suse 9.1)
$ svn --version
svn, version 1.0.0 (dev build)compiled Sep 24 2004, 15:44:46

$ svn up myproject (on Suse 8.2)
svn: REPORT Anfrage fehlgeschlagen auf '/repos/myproject/!svn/vcc/default'
svn: REPORT von '/repos/myproject/!svn/vcc/default': 400 Bad Request
(http://svn.mydomain.de)

Serverlog shows
The request body must specify a report.

Any ideas ?
