I find your attitude awfully judgemental. There's no need to respond
with bile to every single mail in this thread. I'm sorry you're
having problems, but you're making quite an unfair accusation.

Our configure.in isn't some two-bit hack thrown together. It was
written by folks who know what they're doing, evolved and tested over
the years. A good number of core Subversion developers use OSX...
including me. We've not had any problems with configuration. We
test the tarballs we release, in fact, which includes unpacking, ./
configure && make. We've haven't seen any problems on OSX, or we
wouldn't have released the tarball.

So, let's work to figure out what's so special about your & Scott's
systems, and fix the problem.
