Problem with recursive update after non-recursive update

From: Mario Tanev <mtanev_at_berkeley.edu>

Hello,

I have the following problem. For various purposes, I sometimes perform a
non-recursive initial update to a directory from within a checked out trunk.
However, if I later choose to perform a recursive update, none of the skipped
items are fetched. That is true at least when both updates were in the same
revision. I would like to know if there's a way to achieve that, or whether
(as suggested on irc.freenode.net) it merits a bug report.

Thank you,
Mario
