Here is some more information that may help to identify the problem:

We are running Red Hat 7.0 on a quad Xeon Dell.

We have a natively built SVNServe server version 1.1.4. SVNServe was built
with the --enable-all-static switch.

The repositories are stored on the local disk on the server.

BDB version is (as best as I can tell) 4.2.52.

We need more information:
- SVN version
- Server OS
- BDB version
- Is the repositories installed on the local disk or some remote
  filesystem
- How reliable is the server hardware

There is something wrong in your system, I advice that you try to find
first what is causing these errors.
