Nope, haven't seen the followup yet. But I do remember that there was a message in the archives about GXX that explained it (It was in the past 3-4 weeks) so if you want to look around for more info on it...

Good to know that about Tiger. I'm basically waiting to see how XCode shakes out. I've heard of a couple of very slight hiccups on the XCode mailing list, I'm going to wait a couple of weeks to see if anything major is playing out, and if not, I'll buy it. Thanks for the info!

Thanks. Dunno if you saw my follow-up, but this worked:

   GXX=yes ./configure

No idea why, though.

It's great. Everything feels faster, I can actually *find* things in
Mail, now, and Dashboard is pretty slick. Plus, all my Unix tools
have been compiling fine (Emacs, PostgreSQL, etc.). Only Subversion
has given me trouble--and with the above fix, I actually got swig-
perl and swig-python compiled for the first time.
