trying to add/commit to repository...

hi...

i'm having an issue (probably something simple) where i'm trying to add some
dirs/files to a repository.

i do a 'svn co file:///foo/repo/proj/trunk' to get the trunk...

i then do a 'cp -r /foo/filedir .' which then copies the dir that i want to
add to the repository to my wc dir.

i then do a 'svn add' followed by a 'svn commit -m "reree" '

i don't see the files being added to the repository. in fact, i don't see
any repsonse.

when i do a 'svn status', i get the dirs that i'm trying to add having '?'
in front of them...

so, how can i add dirs to a wc, and get them inserted in the repository...

i thought i was following what i've seen on varius posts.. but obviously i'm
doing something wrong!
