We have 2 Berkeley-DB backed repositories both exposed via one instance
of Apache on a Win2k3 server, and about 24 developers almost all running
SVN with Tortoise on Win2k (don't) workstations (I have a Debian-Sid
linux box too, where I do about 1/3 of my work). We've been running for
just over a year and have NEVER has a wedged repository... Since I've
said this in two different emails in the last 15 minutes, I am now
violently knocking on something that I truly hope is real wood (a
picture frame with my kids' picture in it)!

Subject: Frequence repository wedges
SVN Users:
I'm curious how many fellow users experience DB wedges on a regular
basis?
We host our Subversion repositories on Windows 2000, using the Berkeley
DB provided with Subversion. We have about 5 repositories and 1 to 4
developers per repository. At least once a day one of the repositories
wedge. I like Subversion and wish to continue using it, but this is
ridiculous.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Will switching to FSFS help?
By the way, we are using TortoiseSVN and the error it reports is
something like "...connection forcibly closed by remote host..". Any
further access to the repository causes the client to hang.
Thanks,
Jason
