Accessing a repository in network filesystem

Hello!

Though this is a subject was already discussed a lot, I'm still don't
have a good feelling about doing this. I need to put a repository in a
network filesystem (NAS, actually) and publish it to users through
svnserve. The service have to be hosted in some Windows platform (2000
or greater), and the repository format would be FSFS. Does someone can
see any problem with this kind of arrangement? Is this a safe
approach?

Thanks a lot,

Cidral
