We (ARS/NRCS - USDA) are using Codebeamer/Subversion
since last year. We started with a pilot phase first and went production
last month with an installation on multiple hosts for codebeamer and
subversion.
There are several technical pros from our point of view for
Codebeamer/Subversion combination:
- Management of Subversion's authentication and authorization using
Codebeamer's managed repositories. There are codebeamer SCM roles for
project member, which directly map into
subversion acl file enrties for repository access.
- Use of mysql_auth modules allows codebeamer authentication from any
svn client.
- We adopted also Codebeamer to use Siteminder for agency wide
authentication. Since
subversion uses in our case codebeamers mysql authentication, we can
leverage Siteminder
   for subversion.
- Subversion and codebeamer can exists on different boxes (remote
managed repositories).
- Subversion commit hook's to associate commits with codebeamer tracker
items.
- Automated build management in a codebeamer project from a
working copy of a subversion repository within codebeamer.

These are the major benefits for us related to the integration of
Subversion into
a project management suite such as codebeamer.

There are no real cons right now, AFAIK codebeamer folks are working on
certain subversion specifics (cheap copies for tag and branches) and
adjust
them better with the general VCS concepts covered in codebeamer. But
subversion is still new ...
