Ignore svn:externals?

Hello,

I have just start working with SVN and have a question about
svn:externals.

Let's say I have a base project A that contains a number of classes
and another project B that uses classes from projects A. I have done so
that when project B is checked out also classes from project A is
checked out by adding this as an external definition and that's fine. My
question is if it is possible to tell SVN that I just want to check out
the classes in B and ignore the directories that are in the external
definition? If so how do I do it? I can't find any checkout switches to
solve this.

  Regards,
