As an author of a freeware product myself for the past 2-3 years, I know
exactly what you are talking about, but I am not trying to complain. I
simply don't understand why it is the way it is and as a passionate user of
Subversion it was somewhat frustrating to hear a big announcement that 1.2
RC1 is released and includes all these great new things, but not be able to
use it without investing several hours of time that I can't spare at the
moment. I was planning to apply what little amount of time that I can
afford toward testing the RC1 build by being an early adopter. I would hope
that testing would be of value to the project as well, but I'm really not
getting that feeling from this thread.
