To do so takes someone to actually get it done.

I have no doubt that if there was sufficient interest in making it
official and dedicated people with a proven track record to produce the
binaries, it would get done.

Now, since you seem to care so much about the issue, why not produce
binaries yourself and make it known that you would be interested in
working towards making them official.

Personally, I would much rather have the current crew working on making
subversion as stable and feature rich as possible and not have any time
taken away on perform side tasks like making binaries.
