actually it isn't ....

we have our reasons/needs.. but your suggestions with regards to using
'rpm -qla' were already done.. all that does is tell you what files you're
using within a given package. does nothing to tell you what additional
files/packages might be required. which, as i said, is what we're trying to
determine...

so, if you have a way of determinig this, we're all up for it...

Why are you attempting to use FC3 RPMs on a FC2 system?
That is a silly thing to do.
