This is a nagging issue that effects most Windows users as well. The
client currently does very little to help in these cases since it gives
a misleading error message. The problem is detectable, so it would be
great if the 'real' problem was clearly stated in the error message.

Does anyone have a pre-commit hook for Windows that will reject a
commit if a similar path exists that differs only by case?

Scott
