SVN Repository files under in dav-directory

Hi,

I've got a setup of several repositories that are backed up via the hotcopy.py script.
The Backup Directory is exposed via Samba to a windows Machine wich makes the actual backups to tape.
The user on the windows Machine has read access to the backup directory.
Currently we are experiencing access violations on files in the repositories dav directory due to permissions set on these files.
All other files except these two have general read permission (also for the smaba user)
So what are these files for and can they be ignored in a backup? Or should i change the permissions so that the samba user can read them?

./dav:
total 4
-rw------- 1 subversion subversion 0 Mar 30 23:00 activities.dir
-rw------- 1 subversion subversion 1024 Mar 30 23:00 activities.pag

Cheers,
Reinhard
