I convinced my teammates to switch over from VSS to SVN by pointing out some
errors made in several releases of our product which were directly
retraceable to the use of VSS and would not have occurred if we had used SVN
at that time...

- blocking chekouts
- versioned renames not supported in VSS
- scripting and automatic builds impossible
- multiple working copies per user unmanageable
