'svnadmin verify' is just a special case of 'svnadmin dump', so the two
should fail in exactly the same way.

Max is the resident guru for recovering repositories, but I know he's been
rather busy lately.

First, it would be helpful if you describe your setup. Which OS? What
version of Subversion are you using? What version of BDB? Did you build
Subversion, or are you using one from whatever distribution you have
installed?

If you tar up the repository and send me the link privately, I'll take a
look at it... but no guarantees as I'm pressed for time lately.
