Problems with hot-backup.py

Hello,

I'm having problems using the hot-backup.py command. When I attempt to
run hot-backup.py on any of my repositories, my samba connection to our
AS/400 locks up and I have to unmount and remount the share.

As an alternative method of backing up my repositories, I would like to
use rsync. Are there any suggestions on this? All my repositories are
FSFS not BDB.
