Indeed, CVS requires a script for this too.

However, there is no reason we can't be better than CVS.

"cvspurge" and "svnpurge" are two scripts I make very frequent use of.

After seeing this discussion, I feel convinced that purging a working copy
of unversioned files is a sufficiently common and useful task that we should
add a "svn purge" or "svn clean" command.

Someone feel like writing up a summary and mailing the dev@ list?

If not, I'll get around to it once 1.2 has branched.
