synchronize two subversion repositories

Hi,

we have two identical servers in failover. We would like to use
subversion on them. One server is the master server which we will use
most of the time. When the master fails, the slave will take over.
What do you think is the best way to keep the two repositories on these
two machines synchronized ? Can I just make a backup on the other
machine every x minutes ? Can I use rsync ? Is there some easier way ?

Thanks,

Henk
