I saw this same message yesterday trying to run
"svn update C:\path\to\working\copy" from ASP using
the Exec method of the Windows Scripting Host "Shell"
object.

The script is running with the privileges of the web
server, and using "svn update" (with no path specified)
works OK (actually, it fails further on when it gets
to verifying SSL certificates, but that's another
story).

I couldn't figure out quite what the error message
"Error resolving case" was actually referring to
