Live data on website

I have subversion setup and working, however I can't figure out how to make
a symbolic link with the live data.

I need a symbolic link from /home/repos/staffsvn/trunk/staff created in
/usr/local/apache2/htdocs but can't figure out how.

My original import was from /home/svn/trunk/staff and obviously subversion
is not changing the data there so a ln -s /home/svn/trunk/staff in
/usr/local/apache2/htdocs doesn't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
