SSH access and svn:externals

Hello all,
Currently accessing a remote test repository with svn+ssh. So far so good!
I'm now playing with the svn:externals property. Since the user name is
part of the URL when accessing the repository with svn+ssh, is there a
trick to set this property so it will be usable by every member of the
team? (relative URL?)
Would it make sense to use a different (unversionned?) property to
define the protocol?
I think that changing the access method to the repository shouldn't
break all the svn:externals definitions. Also, when going back in the
repository history, retreiving an external should be done using the
current access method, not the one that was used back then.
Thank you,
Martin
