CVS for Subversion users?

I could probably get most of the information by reading the Subversion
book backwards, but I thought I may as well ask: is there a manual or
quick-start guide which explains to people like myself, who learned
version control with Subversion, how to use CVS? Now that I understand
Subversion, I'm finding myself wanting to participate in several
open-source projects which for whatever reason are still using CVS. I
see often enough on the list how people with a CVS background make bad
assumptions about how Subversion works; I'd like to avoid the same
mistakes when jumping into a CVS ship.
