Okay - I was running mod_auth_kerb-5.0-0.rc4.5.i386.rpm from fedora core
2. I rebuilt the rpm using the 5.0.0rc6 source and installed it. That's
the only change to the subversion server I made.

I've been able to check out my entire repository 5 times in a row without
any errors or absent files.

Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it.

Hopefully the original poster whose thread I jacked will pipe up and
confirm similar results.
