I don't have any information on the original commands (done via
TortoiseSVN) and I realised using the tool is hiding some of the symptoms.

I tried these commands, however (thirdparty is the folder I was trying
to add that broke half way through, "FireofDestiny - lua" is where the
base of the working folder begins):

---------------->
D:\Projects\FireOfDestiny - lua\libs>svn add thirdparty
svn: warning: 'thirdparty' is already under version control

D:\Projects\FireOfDestiny - lua\libs>svn status
~ thirdparty

D:\Projects\FireOfDestiny - lua\libs>svn list
lua.lib
luaD.lib
lualib.lib
lualibD.lib
<----------------

I hope that gives some information :-/ !
