Sure, or at least, this would help:

Post to dev@subversion.tigris.org saying you'd like this enhancement
(leaving the update stuff out of it, this is just about export right
now). The dev@ list is our idea filter; in this case, I'd expect the
developers to either be silent or approve, as this is not a very
controversial proposal.

Then, either someone will do it, or you will be asked to file an
enhancement issue, which we will assign to a release. It can be a
long process, but things do get done eventually. (We have many goals,
and a limited number of developers, so we have to organize and
prioritize the goals, naturally.)

The very best thing you can do would be to post a patch implementing
the feature. Patches, especially to the core code, usually get faster
attention than enhancement requests. See
