I haven't tested it with a Berkeley DB repository, only with an FSFS
repository.

With a Berkeley DB repository the script hangs (doesn't crash, hangs) during
the 114th access. The repository becomes wedged.

Doubling them (2000 -> 4000) doesn't change anything.
