svnadmin dump takes very, very long time

Hi there,

since our repository went to hell (after every action, regardless
which action, we got an BerkeleyDB-Error and had to delete the log.*
and run db4.1_recover and svnadmin recover) I started «svnadmin dump
.» at 13:40. It has 689 Revisions, and now (18:33) it is at revision
19... why is this so? Can we do something?
