Repo-Browser states "URL non-existent in that revision"

I had posted the following problem to the TSVN mailing list earlier, and was asked to try it here:

I am running TortoiseSVN (1.1.3 build 2502) and Subversion (1.1.3 r12730) with a local repository on a NT4 machine. Today the machine crashed, and I thought there were no actions on the repository going on in that moment.
But since then, the repository browser shows errors like "Error * URL '' non-existent in that revision" for some of the directories, when I try to browse them. The URL name may change when opening/closing the directory repeatedly (e.g. URL 'P', or URL 'file:///A' or URL '|'), other directories pretend to contain a subdir with the same name as the repository root (sometimes even recursively). Some other directories look normal.

So I gave a "svnadmin recover" which aborted with:
svn: DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery
svn: bdb: DB_ENV->log_flush: LSN of 28/894663 past current end-of-log of 28/849807
svn: bdb: Database environment corrupt; the wrong log files may have been removed or incompatible database files imported from another environment
svn: bdb: strings: unable to flush page: 0
svn: bdb: txn_checkpoint: failed to flush the buffer cache Invalid argument
svn: bdb: PANIC: Invalid argument

Then I gave "db_recover -cv" as found in the archives, which finished without an error.

Since then another "svnadmin recover" command finishes successfully and returns the correct latest revision number. But, the problem with the repository browser persists.
It is possible to check-out the head_versions of those defective directories, and at a first glance, the data seems to be correct, but I am worried.

What is going wrong, and is there another solution than manually re-building the repository ?

I also tried to dump&load the repository without a change.

Best regards,

Oliver Tilch
