That's sort of what I was thinking too.

But Clemens, if you want to formally propose a change, mail the dev@
list about it. (Be prepared for a long thread, though, with
potentially no result -- sometimes it works out that way. I myself
probably wouldn't participate, as I'm happy with both the status quo
and either direction of change.)
