Tarball 1.1.3 installation error - FIXED!

Thanks for all the help!

I just removed the entire source tree since `something' clearly was awry... I unpacked the tarball and went through the configuration as I had done recently and... <FX: drumroll> it worked!

I think the only thing of note was since I didn't want to use apache I needed the --without-apxs flag - if I'd have known that from the start I don't think I would have had half the trouble!
