Folder aliases

Is it possible under subversion (or apache) to setup folder aliases ? eg
consider the following structure....

+ Folder 1
    - Folder 1.1
    - Folder 1.2
        - Folder 1.2.1
        - Folder 1.2.2
+ Folder 2
    - Folder 2.1
    - Folder 2.2
+ My Folders
    - Folder 1.1
    - Folder 1.2.1
    - Folder 2.1

I understand you can do something like this with externals, but the repo
browser doesn't let you navigate the structure. If you did something with
apache, would it have any side effects with subversion ?
