If you're doing tape backup and serving, surely some flavour of Windows
NT would've been a preferable Windows solution back when a 200MHz
machine was king of the hill.

BTW a linux GUI can be run on such a machine, not the latest and
greatest with all the eye candy, but *nix has a lot of choices for GUI
solutions some of which would run quite comfortably on that machine.

But yeah, if you're setup and happy in Windows 98, then the only reason
to switch OS would be for the (time consuming) learning experience.
