[OT] People using Win98 ?!?!?!

 Hi Peter,
I don't think even Linux recommends a GUI interface on this level of machine
and my internet connection software is
windows based (provided from the ISP with the modem)
Also I trust my backup/restore from this server having had to test it a
number of times :-(
It would take a lot of effort to get Linux installed and the back up/
restore working to the save level of certainity.
Not to mention getting the Linux machine taking to the other Windows
machines on the network.
(I know you will say this is easy and well supported but still takes time I
don't have to spare for no income)

Also Microsoft is still providing free security updates for Win98. Redhat
is charging for theirs. Not sure about other versions.

To be honest, although I am interest in Linux, if I was forced to upgrade I
would probably just buy a new box with Windows on it as
the most time effective option.

This is not going to happen soon as I have another 200Mhz machine exactly
the same which can used for hot spares
(both have onboard SCSI for the tape drive)
