RE: Svn:ignore only an extension?

SUBVERSION HATES ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT HATES ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, when I tried the command:
  svn propset svn:ignore / *.ABC -R

... It was ignoring it, and the "svn status" still displayed the *.ABC
files.

*now* that I try again (after letting my laptop sit for 2 hrs) it
finally works. Why does it hate me so?!?!

I did everything from the book and per instructions, Subversion, yet you
still treat me this way. X)

I'll never get it right...

I guess I'll need a transcript (propset commands, commits output and
which part is unexpected) of what you have been doing, since it work as
expected for me.

You are aware that svn:ignore only works for 'svn status', I presume?
ie. svn:ignore'd files can still be committed.
