Hi Hugo,
I'm replying off-list because I don't want to watch another flame war...
*grin*

I don't think the problem is that the user community isn't applying enough
pressure... it's more that a very vocal portion of the community doesn't seem
to want labels.

Observe the "RE: Roadmap for 1.1" thread:

You will notice that very rapidly a few people jump in and claim either that
tags accomplish the same thing or that any such idea could/should be
implemented in a GUI instead.

Labels are definitely something I'm interested in, although I don't have time
myself to make such a significant change to Subversion. If you have any
suggestions on how to hold a more productive conversation on the mailing
list, I would love to hear them!
