using "export" I get undefined symbol: apr_file_mtime_set

If I use the command "svn export" I get the following error.

svn: relocation error: /usr/lib/libsvn_subr-1.so.0: undefined symbol:
apr_file_mtime_set

Looking through the archive there is a mention of an outdated Apache
APR, though the above line shows a file that is built by SVN, not Apache
-- and the APR is not installed separately anyways.

Notes:
-Only the "export" command causes this problem.
-I am not using an Apache server, I am working strictly with local file
repositories
