servername alias at the client side

Hello

 Is there any client-side alias for the long server name?
 I want describe somewhere alias for my local repository to make it easy
type repository name at the command line. Somewhere in the client config
file:

[alias]
local=http://localhost:8080/svn

 to make possible type in the command line

svn co localhost/project1 wc

 and checkout from the http://localhost:8080/svn/project1 to working copy
