svn Checkout problem

Hello,
    I have server with several repositories located on in it. Some of
the repositories checkout out fine, some
do not. The ones that do not, just hang on a file, usually a binary. I
am using svnserve on Windows 2000.
I have tried several version 1.0.9, 1.1.1, 1.1.2 all seam to have the
same problem. When I do a local
checkout, using "file:///" the repository checks out fine. It only
hangs using the svn protocol. Any ideas?
